Create, Express & Empower

This community art-making event will provide college-aged participants with an opportunity to explore creativity through open-ended, expressive artmaking. In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, the event will focus on reducing stigma, encouraging healing and self-expression, and promoting advocacy and empowerment. No prior art experience is necessary. participants will be encouraged to simply create, explore, and see where the process takes them.

The class will be led by the Safe Haven Domestic Violence Director Rebecca Garcia and an Art Therapist Candace Ressler.
