November is Gratitude month

November 21, 2022

Gratitude is the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.  The Greater Good Science Center reports that, “people who practice gratitude report fewer symptoms of illness, and depression, have more optimism, happiness, and stronger relationships."

Keeping a gratitude journal is a great way to cultivate this attitude. Three days per week write down five things you are grateful for. Be specific and describe what each item means to you. For example, write about the positive people in your life and where you’d be without them. So today, to lift your mood, try putting a little gratitude into practice.
